Hey everyone, I'm thinking of visiting Singapore next month for few days and then fly to Pattaya. I'll be staying in Pattaya for 2 days but I have no idea how long should I be staying in Singapore to cover most of the popular places. Can anyone plz suggest ? What are the main attractions in Singapore and how long is it gonna take to cover ? I know I can Googool  that but i want to know directly from you who've visited Singapore. I'm going with a friend.

Thanks in advance.

Well, we'll be reaching Singapore on 13th by 11:45AM, roam around Changi Airport and have lunch. Check-in time is 2PM or 3PM so no rush. Leave hotel after taking some rest and head for the Night Safari and the Amphitheatre. Now, I need suggestion for the next 3 days, what to do to cover all the major attractions. Please suggest.

13th : Night Safari / Amphitheatre
14th : Sentosa Island / Marina Bay / Malls ??
15th : Zoo / Botanical Garden / Museum ??
16th :
17th : Pattaya flight 2:35PM

For budget shopping head to Bugis street. Visit Little India near China town. It always has some kind of festival look throughout the year. Jurong bird park should not be missed. Check out the Singapore Flyer which stand at 500 feet for panoramic view of the city. As for food don't miss the Hainanese chicken rice one of the favorite dish of Singapore. Botanic Garden, if yo are interested in that. Orchard road for shopping. The malls there are very big but personally I found it boring as they are no different from India with exorbitant prices. Well, these are some places I visited in Singapore.

Great inputs. Not married and going with another "male" friend. Did you guys face any problem with the Singapore Visa ? They're asking too much for the Visa like 6 months bank statement, tickets, hotel bookings, etc. Did you face such issue ? How long did it take for the Visa approval ?

I went through a travel agent and got the visa in 4 days. It is not tough but the Singapore government has come up additional security measures now as they want to make sure you are there for tourism alone.

Got it. I'll take the agent route too coz Singapore High Commission is in Delhi.

I'm seeing that they're offering Admission + unlimited Rides at 4 parks (zoo, river, night, jurong) for S$71 online. Seems like a good deal, isn't it ?

Good deal. The night Safari alone would cost $45 per person if bought individually.

If it is just 2 adults, then maybe time at the zoo can be cut down

Definitely visit the Gardens By the Bay in the evening. The "trees" look the best at dusk when the lights come on
(also, closeby is Satay By The Way, which is a great food court, highly recommended)
You can cap the evening on the boardwalk of the Marina Bay Sands next door, although food and drink is expensive as expected

Universal Studios is good for a full day and has enough rides for adults - and overall a very well executed theme park

On the day in Sentosa, do the Adventure Cove Waterpark. We were in Singapore in Dec and it was a LOT OF FUN. Can be clubbed with visit to Aquarium, which is next door
(carry towels - they don't let you hire)

Can you please tell me more about currency exchange ? Where did you exchange the currency ? Here in India or after reaching Singapore ? What rate ?

I've already booked tickets online.
I've booked hotels online.
I'll be booking attractions online.

Thinking of getting a multi-currency forex card, is it better if I carry the card rather than cash and exchange that in Singapore ? I'll be carrying some INR too for exchange. What did you do ?

I carried a Forex card, most of the places accept card payment, MRT Tickets are available for cash only, so may be a good idea to split it. I exchanged currency here in India, the rates vary on a daily basis so don't bother comparing.

Thanks & Regards,
Rajiv
