Smart tv, Samsung or LG

I am on the verge of buying a new tv.
My mind is locked b/w a samsung UA46ES7500 and LG 47LM6410.
I will be glad for an honest opinion on which to choose b/w these two.

In terms of picture quality both the TV are pretty decent. If you are considering to use Smart features from time to time then I will suggest you to consider LG over Samsung. LG has the edge over Samsung in two noticeable aspects -1. User Interface 2. Magic Remote.

When it comes to smart tvs, user interface plays vital role in navigation of apps and smart features. In terms of PQ, its about the proper calibration rather than the brand !

Choose a TV for the picture quality. You will hardly ever use the Smart TV features.

Everyone's opinion will vary. Do a demo yourself. You alone can decide what you like better.

if its 3d what u like lg has passive 3d compared to samsungs active which is defintely in favour of lg

For 2D 46Es7500 and 47Lm6410 for 3d, you can base your decision on which is more important.

Demo both of them in cinema or standard picture mode once before purchasing.

Recently bought LM47 6200 3D Smart TV. The 3D and HD contents were awesome especially the 3D. Demoed Samsung also but they have active 3D glass which was heavy compared to LG's passive glasses and also active glasses needs to be charged. 3D IMAX movies were awesome in LG compared to Samsung. In LG you can watch the 3D movies in any corner of the room and still you get the same effect as watching in the theatre. For Samsung the pic quality was really good but 3D LG wins hands down. Not sure if this is due to the different type of glasses that is used. Moreover in price factor LG is comparatively cheaper than Samsung. I would have gone with Samsung but for the 3D capability of LG and also I should mention the smooth user interface of LG is more easier than Samsung.

I have a LM8600 with me from quite sometime and I would just recommend the same brand to you as well,,,Either it be the 3D picture quality or the Smart features, there hasn't been any issues at all...
Though I would say that for using the smart features, make sure that you have a good internet speed.

I finally got the LG 47LM6410. I am glad to say that so far I have nothing to complain about. The PQ and the 3D features are awesome,additionally the remote is very easy to use.
