Ofcourse, without the "free" bundle which includes stuff like 3D glasses, 160 GB PSP, 5 3D media....

I actually went to buy 40ex520. The dealer took me to experience this. Well NX710 PQ is lot better as compared to EX520 and 100 Hz really works well.

I want to ask for opinions from the members on this fantastic forum....

@kittu

I am still wondering if the price is good...just want to confirm if you understand that this price is without "free" bundle....PM me and I can share more info :)

The entry prices of displays are high, but always cool down after while. I would not pay more than 1000 to 1250 per inch for any TV. If you look through the buzz words thrown at you, and look honestly at the usage, you will find that there is not much difference in the technology. Once a TV is set up in the initial days, all you do is to put it on and off, and control the volume. The one issue that needs to be looked at and one that is not easily controlled is the colour management or what is called Chroma. Use a professional test disc such as Spears and Munsil to check the TV in the showroom. If it passes more than 75% of the tests, then the TV is worth whatever costs the shopkeeper wants. A large number of TVs fail the chroma tests.

Cheers

@avmaxfan - This model is listed at currently listed at around 94K on Sony India website...i hope you are not mistaking NX710 to EX710/EX720 ....

@venkatcr - Even as I agree with what you have said here..I did test NX710 and EX520 side by side and the difference was very much visible. Yes, I agree that the test was for HD channels. Also, the sound output for NX was better as compared to EX. Well per the dealer, NX is a differentiate product as compared to other 'commoditized' models..FYI I went to a AV specialist shop (But I agree he was anyway doing his part of the selling, so I am asking you all for the opinion :))

I will try to get Spears and Munsil discs...Thanks

Attaching a pic of the TV from sony website for ref.

Cheers...

Thats an aggressive price. Is it feasible to get a 46 inch or a 50 inch TV in that price. I know plasma's do give that kind of pricing but not heard that in LCD or LED.

Secondly, is there a special section in the Spears and Munsil which you can check for percentage passed?

I have the disk but dont remember such a feature. PM if you feel this is OT.

dude, i got a deal from the dealer for 60k!!!
if i do not take 3d glasses and PS3, and he will give it to me smiling, so i would recommend you to bargain hard.
But the question is that is this TV better than Samsung 40D5000 (40") LED TV with similar features minus 3D, wifi and more media compatibility (which is a plus).
cheers

60K with a receipt and Sony warranty ? If yes the grab the 'deal'..not sure tehnically, but with naked eye..the PQ for this TV is excellent

Lol. it is from a Sony showroom.
ofc it is original :)
But I was really comparing it neck to neck with Samsung D5000.
