Hi Guys ,

I have purchased a new HD Ready model of Sony BX35 after seeing quite some posts here that there is not much difference in hd ready and full hd in 32inches.
Now after doing some more research I feel should have gone with LG full hd in the same price range.

I paid 27k for the Sony.

Now my question here are

If I take a hd dth connection will I see a difference in hd ready as to in full hd

If I am to connect my xbox kinect - will I see a differnce in hd ready and full hd?

I usually download 480p/720p movies to watch it via usb /video player - how much differnce will it be had i taken a full hd.

and lastly - is it a good purchase.

I am asking this since I purchased it after a good research and now I am just guilty of not doing it more:(

Also a lot of people are saying that full hd is future proof!! so for how long before I find my hd ready useless!!??

Any help is appreciated....

If you have the time, here is a really nice link that explains everything you need to know about HD vs Full HD and more. As also mentioned in the article, full HD on a 32inches really makes no difference. If you ask me, its more of a marketing ploy. And YES it is a good purchase :)

amolecule, Your purchase is really better than LG. Don't go for LG brand, I have very bad service experience with them. Sony is always better than LG.

Thanks Guys !!

@aakashr

Thanks for the article. Really clears my notions about what is and what is not :)

Great!! Some of the color reproduction on the screen is really nice. I played KingKong 480p and it was superb..

As to the settings - kinda a rookie with all this !! Will chk and let you know! Although if you have some settings which are must do share!!

Also have you connected any gaming consoles?

@silkograph
Thanks for te reassurance!!:)

Also, as you press Scene button followed by Return button to go out of the menu, screen flickers. I mean it changes brightness level automatically...whats wrong..

Scene button would usually change display settings based on optimum settings for that scene
