Sony HT-DDW5500

I have Sony HT-DDW5500 HT, its being powered by a inverter. I have a peculiar problem i.e. whenever there is a power outage - this amp makes huge streaking noise and only solution is to switch it off and switch it on again.

I am looking a solution to this problem eps. since have toddlers at home and its proving to be nuisance. I have searched'n searched but haven't found a solution so any clue would be really appreciated.

Instead of an inverter try a ups. The changeover time is high in inverters.

Thank you, will try with some UPS. Though this su-kam inverter is UPS/inverter i.e. its switchover time is small and PC, router, Tata sky nothing trips.

I was thinking that perhaps there is surge due to disconnect and perhaps somekind of spike conditioner may help. Has anyone else faced this issue with any amp?

If spike is the problem then connect a spike buster before the amp. Belkin has some good models.
