Hi ritesh , these are the same two models which I have also looking at to buy this Diwali , sure our experts will help you out on this ,my advise is if you plan to wall mount it then 52nx800 is a waste as it is new monolith design and thats only for that stand .
what is the quote you got for these two?I felt that 55EX710 is big and beautiful.

My only question for the Sony LED 55 EX710 is if it has 1080 Moving Picture Resolution, am asking this because I was cheated by a leading manufacturer recently and dont want to get cheated once again.

Panasonic VT series is the only display known to have 1080 of moving picture resolution even without the fancy motion controls enabled. Most LCDs have 300 and Plasmas have 800. I read that somewhere - can't recollect.

Again, based purely on what I read.

How did you know that you were cheated?

The 55EX710 is better for 2 reason one its doesn't have a monolithic design and second its bigger .It also has a SPVA panel.
Only the HX800 ,LX series and NX 800 series and above have 1080 lines of motion resolution which have true 200hz tech like other samsung models

But to be honest i could never see the extra resolution benefit of the 200hz tvs over 100hz .

@adder - Do I pick the 55 EX710?
@shaiju - According to my knowledge a Full HD TV has to have 1080 Lines of Motion Resolution but many claim to be True HD when they dont have 1080 lines.

Come to think of it - yes, logically that's when they are full HD. However, that's not the case. Maybe full 1080 line in still pictures but in motion they need help of additional technologies (aka motion plus, tru-motion, et al). My understanding.

Planning to check out the EX710 series. Looking for a new display and 55" would be great.

In reality doesn't make much difference to human eye. They may reduce some LCD weakness like blur and judder, but may ruin picture further in the process. I think as long as you demo the display with a few materials (DVD, BR) and are happy with what you see then shortlist it.

this is interesting - I thought when samsung c500 says resolution of full hd it is meant to be moving pictures. Is that incorrect?

@anm - Yes that is what I am currently fighting for, When a product is certified Full-HD it means 1080 in Still and Motion. So My current plasma has 900lines and I feel cheated. Am gonna fight it out for sure so that these so called Big Co dont cheat and fool people.

Hey, I'm in the same boat as you I guess.

Strange thing though, I just found out that the NX800 has been discontinued. None of the retailers seem to have it anymore and if you do get one, chances are that it'll be a display unit. Between the 52NX800 & 55EX710, the NX800 looks to be a better model (atleast on paper)

I'm curious, what kind of pricing are you getting for these?

Compare for two versions of this spec very similar. Different by type and size of the display. For me choose EX710(LED) for newer than LCD and has the advantage in the glare.
