I have been using this music system since last few years. Last month the it stopped playing cds and i found that its laser gun needs replacement. I checked in mumbai however matching compnent is not availbale and this system is useless. 5.1 speakers are in good shape. I would like to know if somebody can suggest me suitable matching dvd player in market which can be connected to this sytem and home theatre speakers can be useful.

You can contact FM rishiguru. He did have this model and would let you know what he did with those 5.1 speakers. On the other hand you can pair this with Norge amplifier and any DVD player. You can also check with him for more information.

You can also buy an entry level AVR like Yamaha 373 and use the speakers. For subwoofer it should be powered, that is it should have built-in amp. However for the price of Yamaha 373 one can buy a full htib like Onkyo 3400/3500.
