Hello FMs,

Is Sony STR-DN1040 available in chennai for purchase?

If No, are there better alternatives/equivalent receivers which are really good in performance?

Sony AVRs are not available in India. You have to source from either Amazon or ebay global buy. Though you have many alternatives, feature wise sony comes with inbuilt wifi and Blutooth. You also need a step down transformer if you source it from US. And I think UK model does'nt comes with Bluetooth.

hi, you can visit the Profx showroom for audition of Denon. With regards to features, Blutooth is not available in any budget AVRs except Sony. Need of a inbuilt wifi is really depends upon the person and the wifi connectivity available in your location. But the built in Blutooth really stands apart as I'm using my phone to connect to the AVR for listening Music(only) though the purpose of getting an AVR is mainly for movies.

And Profx is currently having offers on Denon HT setup.

What is your budget ? Onkyo TX NR 626 has both Wi-Fi & Bluetooth in the AVR... You may check them....
