Sony Tape deck issue...

Hi,
I have a Sony TC-WE475 tapedeck got from US long time back. I had used it for couple of months and packed it. Today I opened it and set that (probably after 10 years).

I powered it on (using 110v step down transformer) and it made some kadak-mudak sound and it came up. I opened both deck A & B. Both looked fine and then I played a cassette. Again it made noise and cassette never rotated. When I opened the deck I see that the head has twitched like this.,

Then I tried in deck B also. Its head also became the same. :sad:
Rewind & Forward also does not work.

Any idea what could be the issue ? Can I fix it by myself or need to get to a service center. Please suggest a good service center in Bangalore.

The head is completely off-position. This visual and the clunking sound suggests mechanical failure. Due to non-usage, something could have ceased and something else may have tried to force it and may have broken or chipped something. Better get it attended to by a technician.
