Hi, still using my AKAI 29" old fashion TV around 7-8 years old. Want to get a flat TV probably LCD or LED only Sony and budget around Rs 150000. Don't have any clue about models yet. Can I get similar model in Bangkok around Rs 70000-80000 (maybe little more) or so that after VAT and Duty it will come to around Rs 90000-100000 and balance can cover my expenses to Bangkok. Please help me

Hi. If you're looking to buy a Sony LED from India then you should look at the 55W950A which will just about fit in your budget. Originally priced at Rs. 2,25,000, its price has seen a huge drop (The new sony models are about to come out). It was one of the best LED sets of 2013 in terms of picture quality. Hope this helps.

55W950 at Snapdeal is showing 1.45L, which is a real steal. Should be available at similar price in neighbourhood stores. Buy it, it is a really good TV. The new series will be atleast 1.5 times of this price. It is better to buy from Indian stores with Manufacturer warranty, as flat panels are prone to damage easily. Yes if you can get it with landing cost just around 50% of Indian prices, then it is worth buying from Bangkok or elsewhere.

Its always better to buy from local store.. after T.V is delivered if anything is damaged or you find that its a or used T.V then you can call them immediately and ask for a replacement

If you bring it from Bangkok, you always need to be very careful, anything may happen while traveling.. remember you are carrying a 55inch glass.

In India SONY provides 1+2 years warranty and its a steal.. if its an imported TV, then its very likely that you wont get warranty in India.

As our friends suggested above do check out present SONY Models.. yes W950 is an awsome T.V, as new models are launcing soon there is a price drop go and close the deal OR if you can afford to more money then wait for new models.. im sure 2014 models will be better than 2013 models.

So think wisely and buy it from India.

All the best :)
