Sony UHD TV from Quikr

Looks too good to be true but Sony 55 UHD for 42K is too irresistible a deal. Any ideas if these are scam.

Checked with another similar seller as well and he even provided a physical shop address in Delhi.

I'm sure with Quikr Doorstep delivery, transaction would be quite safe but not sure if this is a scam or a real deal.

Mostly refurbished and also the pictures indicate that it is a used TV and not brand new. Check if it has official warranty from Sony if it is new.

looks fake.. please check ifSony tvs come in White cardboard packing... last time i saw a sony tv , it was in a usual brown cardboard packing. may be other Sony users can confirm the same.

Never saw a SONY in a white corrugating box so far. They always use 'Khaki' (Light brown) boxes. But images for Sony 55X90 shows white box too. Bit confused...

The "Smart" and "LED TV" graphics on the box is from Samsung

The box mentions the model number as 55C1U, does Sony have a TV with that model number? A quick Google search for this model leads to some LED TV manufacturer in China - LED TV | LED TV Display | LED Television Supplier | LED TV Manufacturer - KTC-Shenzhen KTC Technology Group|KTC

Box definitely looks fake, so most probably the TV itself is fake as well

It's a fake TV I did go and auditioned it. There are samsung TVs also.
It's just a Chinese TV.
PQ is OK for watching TV content nothing else.

If you want just a TV for low budget go and take it. Does come with seller warranty.

my friend has a shop in ghaffar market delhi. according to him, most of these ultra cheap

models being sold on quikr/olx are being assembled in india only. in fact many dealers

at ghaffar market delhi and heera panna in mumbai are selling fake stuff.

so do personal audition before buying the tv. don't buy online blindly trusting the seller.

Quickr and OLX are huge caveat emptor buys. We win some, we lose some deals. I once bought a scooter Activa 3g for 25k. I already had an Activa 3g but bought another because my apartment's security guy, a Nepali started using my scooter a lot for his personal family errands. After he quit the job, he bought it from me for 20k forfeiting a month's salary settlement. My scooter itself got an offer of only 18k so far even if it well maintained. The one I got online had only been ridden for 6000 Kms! That's a steal deal for 25k. But when I bought it, I had to take a mechanic with me to the buyer's home to see if the scooter was in good condition. That's a lot of work in today's day and age.
