Sony W900B Vs Samsung HU7000 UltraHD

Hi,

I would like to buy good LED TV with price tag around 75K. While searching found two models.

1. Sony W900B BRAVIA Full HD 3D TV
2. Samsung HU7000 UltraHD

Please suggest me which one is good from those two or please let me know any other models available better than this at this price tag.

Hi,

I was confused between Sony W900B & Samsung HU7000 UHD, I went to both the showroom with HD video clip(mp4) in UBS to test the clarity. Later I wen to a showroom where I can compare both the models side by side and test.

Below are my observations.

Sony 40W900B :
42Inc, FHD, 3D, 400Hz Motion rate, Triluminos Display + Free camera & BD palyer Cost - 72K

Samsung HU7000 UltraHD:
40Inc, UHD,No 3D, 200Hz Motion rate +Free Slype camera Cost - 75k.

Sony advantages over Samsung:
(set Picture mode at 'standard' in both TVs)

Extra 2 Inc display with 400Hz motion rate is good for watching sport channels, higher motion rate gives smoother picture without any trace. 3D feature is added advantage. Though the motion rate is not standard one, since both the companies have their own standard, still Sony's 400hz is better. More deeper black and vivid color.Sharp image quality and rich color.

Samsung advantages over Sony:
Cost of HU7000 UltraHD has come down to 75K effective from 18-10-2014:yahoo:
Smart TV, has more than 100 applications and can be upgraded. Dual core processor is good while multitasking.Dedicated processor for faster response, though the motion control was not that effective. Future ready TV, since it is UHD, there is no need to upgrade the TV when UHD content is available.

Conclusion: Both the TV are good, only major differences are the 3D and motion rate. I decided to buy Sony W900B since I am already using a Samsung 22 Inc 5 series FHD (22F5100) Sony has rich color and sharp image. Its my decision.

Which store quoted the price of 72k for the Sony?

Hey justinsekar, you mentioned that sony is 40 inch, but currently there is only SONY KDL-42W900B model available which is 42 inch. There was a model SONY KDL-40W900A which is 2013 model which is disconnected now. May be you got that model for 72k as SONY KDL-42W900B is being sold for around 75-79k

How do you compare SONY KDL-42W900B with SAMSUNG 46H7000? I think samsung 7 series display clarity is better than sony's..
