HTC has launched there new mobile models with Beats Audio Enhancement.

Does this enhancement is really useful? Anybody is using such HTC mobile?

I am thinking of buying new Smartphone with good Sound quality. My budget is 11K Max.

I have shortlisted Sony Xperia Tipo(8.5K) and HTC desire C(MRP 12K , I am getting it for 11 K).

I have a One X.
Beats is just a software enhancement so you can get the same improvement by tweaking the settings in music player apps like power amp.

Hi
Iam using HTC Desire CV, dual sim since last 3 months. It has beats audio, but the sound doesn't appeal to me. It sounds bland and the bass is weak even with the volume turned up full. However I feel that it may have a lot to do with the bundled headphones that came with the phone. They seem to be of a poor quality. I have yet to try it with better quality phones. The reason I haven't is bcoz I don't use the phone for music. I use an Ipod touch and of course the Apple sound is far better

I am using Desire V, and take my word that coupled with quality earphones or in-ear-modules this sounds great. The stock piece bundled with the phone is not great, as expected. But do try with decent ear phones, it will surprise you.
I do not listen to music on the phone purely because I have a 4th gen iPod touch, otherwise one could use it as a music player, it will not let you down.

In HTC desire C Beats audio is just a sound enhancement, when turned on it improves bass and treble but I think you can create the same effect by playing around with the equalizer. But even when Beats audio is turned off the HTC Desire C has very good sound quality, I would say the Desire C has one of the best sound quality in this price range.

Sony's phones usually have very good sound quality, but Tipo's sound quality is not as good as other Sony mobiles. You will have to go for some model higher than Sony's Xperia Miro to get good sound quality. HTC Desire C clearly has better audio quality when compared to Tippo.

HTC & Beats is all marketing. There is only sizzle but no steak.

Only you can determine which cans sound best. Right now I use Grado indoors, and Molex earbuds outside.

As for a smart phone Samsung SIII is heads and tails above HTC at the moment.

HTC comes almost last in audio quality. period.
They still have optimized hardware of business phones and music is not the top priority.

You need to look at Apple, Nokia or Samsung.

I am getting mixed reviews here :) . I think actual audition with good earphones is the ultimate way...

Thanks a lot for your feedback.

btw .. any updates on iphone mini ?? :)

I have used HTC One V last year and had a usage experience of One X as well since my family had one. Based on my experience I'd say Audio Beat has just enhanced the quality of audio in terms of clarity but overall i was disappointed after using it since the volume of HTC speaker is too low. So if you are particular about sound then i won't suggest you HTC else in terms of other spec it's nice to go for.

And under 11K i would highly suggest you to buy Micromax Canvas 2 instead, it's available around 11k on ebay.

Beats = Massive Bass Boost

If you like that in your music, this will help. Otherwise, good to stay away from. Only exception is if your device is not pumping out enough decibels. Then extra amplification from a Beats enabled set might help.
