How long a tv company should provide spare parts.. Within 5 years(from the date of purchase) , VU company don't have the spare part. As a customer what can we do?Shouldn't the company provide a compensation if they are unable to provide spare parts atleast for a minimum number of years.Without approaching consumer court, is it possible to get a solution for this? I sent emails to vu, but their reply is spare part not available.

Companies like samsung provide compensation if they are unable to provide spare parts for minimum number of years.

I had purchased a Panasonic TV from Amazon last year. In the warranty period, the panel got damaged, and when I called the service centre, they said the TV model I had was disconnected, so they didn't repair my TV. My brother complained to higher officials of Panasonic, and after a lot of arguments and fights, they replaced it with a new TV. This is the worst and strangest experience for me. When I was a kid, we had a videocon CRT TV, which we used for almost 15 years. All spares are available during these periods.

Now they don't provide spares, so we will buy new models, or they will simply discontinue the models.

There is no specific law in India governing this. Try complaining over social media.

TV companies not interested in repairing, they interested only in selling more TVs..... I had similar experience when my Panasonic LED develops picture flickering issue, but at that time LED was out of warranty. Initially contacted panasonic service center, they assured that they will replace circuit board, but later they gave evasive answers like its not available and offered me discount on buying new LEDs.. later my one friend given TV technician contact who done the repair work at cheap cost. That technician told me TV companies are not interested in repairing TVs and he repairs all sizes TVs with all faults. Try to search local tv technician who can fix the problem at cheap price.

Well Xiaomi is still selling its only OLED tv launched in 2022 on Amazon give 1 year + 1 year on Panel warranty but they don't have replacement Panel for it as the Panel it is using is LG display OLED same model as used in LG OLED CX 55 inch tv model. Xiaomi try to give me exact amount coupon of mi.com but when I insist for refund they refunded directly to my Bank acc. I don't know who is at fault here Xiaomi or LG Display.

In this ordeal I bought same TV 5 times from Amazon ( 1 refunded by Xiaomi other returned to Amazon) as UI is fast and snappy(faster than fire tv 4k Max ) and it's cheapest OLED also all are brand new I myself removed the panel plastic sheet and all tv have 0hrs OLED panel run time still all have lots of Dead Pixels at different places but all near corners. This shows how LG OLED panels are not reliable that even new TV but manufactured 2 years ago( June-July 2022) can get dead Pixels without even any use.

This is the danger of buying OLED, if dead pixels appears, then there is no repairs but to replace the panel.... you are lucky bcos OLED was under warranty..
