Hi,
Can anyone suggest me a place in Bangalore to buy stand for Bookshelf Speakers (Wharfdale Diamond 10.2) ? Till now the speakers have been on the TV unit.I have not personally checked how heavy the stands are,but wanted to check about the stability of speakers on these stands. Are these heavy enough that the stand/speaker can be toppled easily by 3-4 year old kids ?

Thanks,
Rahul

I suggest you to contact fm 'magma' (soundfoundations). His speaker stands and racks are highly recommended in the forum.

Yes, I have contacted him. But was a bit confused if I should go for stands if there are kids in the house and chances of toppling the stand/speaker is higher. DO we have to put any adhesive between the stand & speakers ?

u can use BOSTIK Blu-tack to stick speakers base to stand. Its removable, reusable, leaves no mark.. quite good. gives good stability to speakers from being knocked down by kids.

No need to go for glue. Ali will provide silicon base which act as a solid grip between speaker & stand & protects the same from fall & scratches. Dont worry dude.. i'm using the same stand... kick your speaker.. it will stare at you whether to fall or not. :P

I am also getting stands from magma and he says he will provide me silicon base. I have also requested BlueTac for extra safety.

@ Pran.Kumar - If you kick a Sound Foundations stand, be prepared to carry the offending foot around in your pocket. Bloody solid stands as I found out to my drunken misfortune last night. Just stubbed my toe on the stand. Hurt like a mf!
