Well, multiple users have reported that ST and GT series are ur available is sizes of 42 and 50 inches.

What kind of strategy is that by Panasonic..this is by Panasonic brand shops..

Some dealers/multi brand shops for obvious reasons are hesitant in stocking Plasmas.

Try the Panasonic branded showrooms in Delhi/Gurgaon. They have both these models available. Even Jumbo electronics in Ambience Mall has the ST50 for 1.01 Lakh with the Printer offer. The price could be lowered with some bargaining.

Hope the above helps. I'm also in the process of buying either the ST50 or GT50, 50".
Still waiting on a good deal. Hopefully will buy one of them by end of this week.

Thanks..however I got my replacement pending. Not sure of its true or they just delaying the delivery,,,,,

With the current models '50', I think that Panasonic simply underestimated the PQ and the overall demand. The world round, all the magazines/online portals are still putting the V/G/S T50 models at the top of the lists.

But also keep in mind that Panasonic has reduced production of plasmas and as such they maybe giving priority to markets like US, hence the lack of supply in markets like India

very much true.. i came across 50VT30 offered at 75k on cash payment

Exactly my perspective. Why did people buy these old goods?

In general, I find that Indian buyers are not that educated and rely on sales people to tell them what to buy and as a result the country is dumping ground for last years models. When most people don't care/know about the new or better products, the shops have no reason to provide them. I think this applies to most product categories: Health Care, Pharma/Drugs, Automotive, Scooters, and Electronics.

Last year's product or not I don't feel it's "dumb" to buy TVs like VT30 at such great prices. These are some outstanding TVs we are talking about here, and personally if I was offered 50VT30 at 75k I would get it eyes closed. It's too tempting a deal to resist or even "think" too much about. ;)
