While I created a separate post a few weeks ago, my requirements for a second TV have solidified further (warranting a new post) to the following:

Size = 42"
Budget = maximum 60k (I'd prefer ~50)
HD = Full 1080p HD support
HDMI ports = 3 minimum (strict requirement)
Audio = Front/side headphone socket
Wifi inbuilt = A bonus, but not a strict requirement

I'm open to either LEDs or plasmas. The room will tend to be dark and there are no glare issues. Viewing angle will 90% of the time be directly opposite the screen.

Any candidates?

Thanks.

Since you have a dark room...........take full advantage of PLASMA!!! now looking at your options :

1. Panasonic 42UT50 - 50k (subject to stock availability)
2. Samsung 43F4900 - 42k (does not meet above HDMI / Full HD requirement)
3. Samsung 51F5500 - 70/75k

All the above 3 are really good plasma tv's. My pick would be F5500 if you can stretch your budget.

Thank you. The UT50 also, from what I can tell, only comes with the 2 HDMI ports. Where have you seen a 50k price tag for this? 51" is too large and out of budget.

A HDMI-switch with '3-in, 1out' starts ~Rs.450 on eBay. Suggest you re-look at the "strict" requirements.
As suggested above, Sammy F4900 in a dark room would be wonderful.

What is the community's opinion about LG's LN5710? It appears to tick all my boxes including inbuilt wifi.
