Hi FMs

After much indecision, I've bought this TT.

Now the problem is, it's working fine but somehow the strobe light has dimmed.

Previously it was all bight then of no reason it is very weak.

I mean you really have to peer at it closely to find out that it's alight at all.

Guide me fellas....

I am not sure about your TT lamp. Neon lamps (Similar kind one found in common Line Testers) are commonly used in most turntables.

Looks like the neon lamp or the resistance in neon lamp circuit is weak in your TT. These are not sensitive component and are available in most electrical component shops for just Rs.2. Just carefully replace with a new one.

Check the line input of the lamps. If in safe limits, try replacing with an LED. Many turntables used LEDs to flash at the required frequency to function as a strobe lamp. There were locked to the same quartz lock that controls the platter speed. There may be 2 different lamps under the same strobe lens for 33/45 RPM speeds.

Or if its the simpler, the lens might have gotten dirty which you can try disassembling and cleaning.

Thanks a lot Selvin

Worked like a charm.

Superb Forum Superb Guys :)

Very glad.. when seen your TT problem solved. If the problem repeats check your line voltage. If it is more than 240V took some control measure.

Happy listening....:)
