Sugden A21 and A21SE

Any one having experience of so claimed to be really high-end Sugden A21 and A21SE amplifiers?

Please do share experience.

It is hifi amp and good product for value.
I recommend you at that price range but there are many better product if you pay more.

Owned an A21 for some time, many years back though. Works very well with high sensitivity speakers. Not recommended if you have tough to drive or low impedance speakers.

Worth a demo but may be too risky to make a blind purchase

I am using the A21ai.... It can be characterised as an amp with sweet highs, clear mids, and little veiled bass... Its a little darker sounding amp compared to the older Sugdens. This might be due to the fact, that they tried to make the sound little robust, weighty...
These low powered Sugdens plays well with easy to drive speakers.

The A21 SE might sound different.

Planning an amp without knowing the speakers/room size is not really a great Idea. Could you share those ?
A21a is a fantastic amp but as jai mentioned with the right speaker in the right room.

it never will be better than a well done SET..its for those who want slightly more power and prefer SS. else SET is the better option !
