I am absolute noob into audiophile world and I am very confused regarding
an affordable amp to drive my Sony ss-dx3 Speakers.
They came with Sony Head-Unit ( MHC-GX2000 ) and head unit is not working since past 6 years.
Below are the Specifications of the speakers ::-
Sony Speakers (150 watts RMS (75 watts per speaker), 6 ohms)
Speaker system : 2-way, bass-reflex type
Woofer : 5" , cone type
Tweeter : 3.5 ", cone type
Nominal impedance : 6 ohms
Dimensions (w/h/d) : Approx. 215 x 325 x 275 mm
Mass : Approx. 4 kg net per speaker
I have three questions ::-
1) Which Affordable amp can I consider apart from Norge Amps
which starts from 10k
. If Norge which model can you suggest.
2) Will it be worth to get an old compatible head unit for 5k ?
My Budget is MAX 10k !:indifferent14:
Note :: I am not a big audiophile and would not crank the speakers to its full potential 99% of time
