Hi guys,
I am thinking a taking the plunge on blurays since it is very cheap in UK. I am planning to get a player and some good number of titles to keep me going till the price of software in India come to sane levels. Can you please suggest which player to get from the following list.
Blu Ray | DVD Player | Richer Sounds

I am very inclined to get Cambridge audio 650 BD is it worth for 400 pounds. In india I am quoted 39K which is way too high. I don't want to go the oppo way since it doesn't have official representation in India.
Thanks,
Mahiruha.

Straight one word... Cambridge is not worth in my view( purely mine:cool:) for 400 pounds...What ever the spec calls for... For that price if you are an music buff,, just buy Marantz cd player + Blu ray player- Oppo modded or Pana modded + dune media player( or extreamer or WDTV live), which will fullfil all your future needs also.

Since already you are inclined toward Cambridge, better u can go ahead,, atlast it is your personal choice which is going to win.:)

Regards

Hi Srini,
thanks for your suggestion. Well I have soft corners for CA since I am a very satisfied user of 540Dv2 dvd player. Once the bluray player comes I will use that dvd player as a CD player only which don't use that much any way since I am into vinyls. Just another point feature wise is it better to get something 3d ready like Samsung BDC6900 Black | 3D Ready Blu-ray Player | Richer Sounds ?
Thanks.

What now you told is right..

Better you can take a plunge into 3D, which may be a winner this time... I happen to see demo of 3D TV( samsung LED + Samsung 3D bluray player) yesterday and impressed with clarity and detail with Monster & aliens BD... Buying only the 3D capable player is not going to solve the purpose of viewing and to justify that you have to buy the 3D capable TV & ofcourse bundled 3D glasses. Good thing mentioned is the player is able to convert the 2D BD's to 3D BD's( somebody has to confirm this)

If you are not going to change the TV... better stick on to normal player which will solve the present need.
