Hey guys....
I am planning to buy a plasma this festive season and want it to be around Rs. 60K. Was thinking for either Panasonic 50" X50 or 50" XT50. I am from Jaipur and the price quoted here by the Panasonic showrooms (and dealers) are :
50X50: Rs. 58000/- with rice cooker, hungama voucher and 3yr warrranty (offers by panasonic india), DTH (can upgrade to TataSky HD+ by paying difference amount)
50XT50: Rs. 66000/- with panasonic 3in1 b/w printer, hungama voucher and 3yr warranty (offers by panasonic india), Rs. 1200/- panasonic club (..something), 2 active 3D glasses, DTH (can upgrade to TataSky HD+ by paying difference amount)

Do u think that the prices are justified with these add-ons?

My first concern is that should I go for X50 or XT50 bcoz 3D is not a priority for me?
Secondly, apart from 3D is their any picture quality difference between X50 and XT50 bcoz I read somewhere about the signal processors being different in these two with the one in XT50 being equivalent to those in ST/VT etc. So, does that make such a big difference in picture quality?

We do have a Metro in Jaipur too, but its not that popular among the masses. People here still prefer to buy from brand showrooms and authorized dealers. So can u people give some inputs about Metro? Do we need to have some kind of membership from Metro to avail these discounted price?

Anxiously waiting for the replies :-)

well bargain without any offers/3d glasses in case of xt50,as you have mentioned about the signal processors yes xt50 is advanced then x50, first demo both x50 and xt50 unless you see you cannot comment of picture quality it will be very minute, All metro shops are same they give the same panasonic warranty so it is not a problem, yes members are only allowed in metro.however few have purchased without being a member so try your luck at metro.as metro was offering 50k for xt50 without any glasses and printer offer
