Hi everyone,

I am on a hunt for the best TV within the price range 65K (bigger the better).
My requirements are:
LED
WI-FI Enabled
1080 - Full HD
Good sound quality
and, durability

After a lot of research and visiting stores I zeroed down to 40F6100. However, I realised that my reseacrh was lame and this TV is not Wifi enabled. Now there are a lot of TVs available at my budget and I am really confused. I go to the stores to check them out and most of the models are not physically available, moreover, I dont like the sales people eating my ears and pushing me to narrow down to a TV.

Ended up here, and I have left my decision to people in this forum. Please suggest me a TV and I shall purchase it this weekend.
Also please comment on sellers from ebay who guarantee warranty by Samsung service centre under Dealer's warranty. What if tomorrow they disappear?

My preference:
SAMSUNG 46F5000 FULL HD LED 1080p+1 year DEALERS WARRANTY | eBay

and

SAMSUNG 40F6100 SMART 3D LED+ 1 YEAR DEALERS WARRANTY+ 2 3D GLASSES | eBay

Please suggest more

Thanks in advance

go for the samsung 40f6400....the black levels are much better than any lg set...but if you watch 3d often then you might consider the passive 3d on lg than the active 3d on the samsung...

yes it does not match....but you can always go for edgelit with local dimming which offers the second best picture rendition .....that's why i suggested the samsung 40f6400....take a demo of both the samsung and sony(42w650a) and decide for yourself...whichever looks best to you choose that tv....all the best....

Thanks again. I am locking these 2 models as for now.. will visit ezone or Chroma later today. Hope they have both the models for a demo.

After all the inputs and running around for negotiation, I finally booked the LG 42LA6200 with all the features possible :)

1 magic remote
4 3D glasses

Hi Guys,

I have purchased an LG 42LA6200.

This TV has all the features be it 3D,Smart,Widi,Wifi.. etc etc.

Reason I chose this: IPS panel gives true-colours (read true). At the price the TV is offered, outnumbers any other TV in the same range.
Samsung and Sony have come to a policy of not giving even a single rupee discount (Except festive seasons).
All my home appliances are LG(WM, Fridge, CRT TV) and Samsung(Phone+Monitor) and Sony (Phone). I have never faced any issues with LG. Regarding Samsung and Sony, I had to visit service centers and sometimes scrap the product. Sold a 1 year old SOny Experia (Rs. 10K) for Rs 800 :D
So as per my experience, LG is more reliable.

TV Pros - Very good 3D quality (Passive 3D). 2D-3D conversion best in class.
True colours.
Good refresh rate.
Good and useful smart features.
You can negotiate on the price.
Smart remote very very handy.
Table mount and wall mount are adjustable.

Not so good sound quality, but who cares. You got to connect an HT with all Flat panels.

Congrats for your purchase...

What is the price you paid for LG 42LA6200?

Hello gents,

I did not want to open a new thread when I have basically the same requirements that the OP has, so I'm bumping this thread.

I do not need smart features (wifi, apps etc) nor 3d. I just want exceptional picture quality within 65k. The size requirement is about the same as OP.

May I request some suggestions?
