Hi Audiophiles , Hope everyone was doing great.
I went to a local vendor for TAGA 506 , He was offering taga 507 for 40K and suggesting me to go for them.
May i know the difference between them?

Hi all,

Not sure if opening a new thread makes more sense...anyways..for my ground floor..purely for youtube via a desktop and via a AVR - either denon 1700H or Pioneer 1020K...Wanted two decent quality tower speakers...not sure if wanted to go for a Sub. Now this is not for a home theater -

Content is (a) Kannada soaps in Tata SKy HD (b) Say other OTT music programs like Saregampa (c) Youtube - music and otherwise. - Movies will either be not played on this setup of even if played..not expecting any 5.1 magic. While the whole family will watch sitcom and generic youtube stuff - purely for music - for which I want this setup - Only mom is the audience. Hence when I am playing a carnatic concert on youtube...I want the percussions - mrudangam..ghatam..etc to come out with a nice thump and of course...the vocals have to be clear and pronounced.

Since my mother is the primary audience...and I dont want to beg anyone to get it from US or Europe - is the Taga 506 V2 good enough?

Not sure if this website is legit..he is offering it for 30K..will check myself on google about his ratings and genuineness...etc.

For 20-30K for either a pair of tall boy speakers...dont think we have too much choice in India..

As always thanks in advance for all your help!!

Speakers do look great in the photo..not sure how they look in person and also of course the sound..

In my first floor HT Setup..I have the andrew jones pioneersetup. Any idea how these compare to the PIoneers?

Pls look out used Dali sensor 5 or 7. Should be around the similar price range.

I have auditioned Tagas and didn't feel that they were suited for music. I usually use Aruna Sairam's Kalinganarthanam for reference (has good ghatam and mridangam). Their sounds were very weak.

If the room is small and if you can place speakers closer to wall, pls post a wanted ad in the forum for frugal horns. They are amazing for music IMHO.

Wharfedale Linton Heritage Speakers in Walnut finish at a Special Offer Price. BUY now before the price increase.
