TATA DOCOMO Broadband in Chennai

I saw a paper insertion in a news paper that Tata DoCoMo are starting their service in Chennai with ADSL connection just like BSNL and Airtel. They had advertised that there is no need to pay any upfront amount for the connection. Just to check out I called them and confirmed that they service my area. I gave them the address and they told that they would come and collect the document. It took more than 10 days for them to come and collect the document for the connection and another 10 days for providing the connection. They have plans up to 100mbps (just a advertising gimmick I think). They were not able to give me a 16mbps connection which I had requested for. Seems like 16mbps needs fiber optic cable which they told is not feasible in my area, but I think the huge cost of the cable and not getting any upfront fee must be the real reason for not providing the 16mbps connection. Just to check out their connection I opted for their 10mbps plan with 40GB FUP. This connection is given through the normal copper cable. They have connected it couple of days back and the 10mbps line in speed test is showing only 4mbps. I have told them that if I do not get the promised speed I would disconnect the connection.
