TCL has released the 2025 T8C QLED HDR Smart TV in European countries like France and Spain, following its recent launch in the UK. The model has an HVA panel, 144Hz Motion Clarity Pro and support for Dolby vision. Plus, there is a range of gaming features including 288Hz Game Accelerator and superwide screen ratios.
The T8C features a 4K HVA panel with a contrast ratio of either 5,000:1 or 6,000:1 depending on the screen size, and a peak brightness of 350 nits. It supports 93% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and includes HDR10+ and Dolby Vision for improved picture quality. For gaming, the TV provides a 120Hz native refresh rate, which can go up to 144Hz with Motion Clarity Pro. It also supports AMD FreeSync Premium, a 288Hz Game Accelerator, and ultra-wide 21:9 and 32:9 aspect ratios.
It offers voice control, Chromecast and Miracast support, and access to popular streaming platforms such as Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video. Audio is delivered through Onkyo-tuned 2.1-channel speakers (25W total output), with support for Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual X. For connectivity, the TV includes four HDMI 2.1 ports, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band Wi-Fi, and a LAN port.
The TV is powered by a MediaTek MT9653 processor with a quad-core A73 CPU and Mali-G52 GPU, combined with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It can decode AV1, H.265, and VP9 video formats and supports 4K playback at 60Hz
Prices vary by size: the 65” model is priced at €699, the 75” at €1,049, and the 85” at €1,399. The 98” version, available only in Europe, is listed at €1,999.
