TEAC announces LP-P1000 Music Centre

looks like old school retro

however, believe me, I have seen these Teac retro combo systems in stores in the United States, usually at Frys and K-Mart and there is just one word I can find to aptly describe them - rubbish!!

It's a pity hat such reputed brands have to compromise on quality these days. New Lencos are a classic example. Denon is another one . There are many more. So the best advice would be to stick to vintage but ensure the condition before you buy

I once tested 2 speed TEAC combo system and I was not impressed with sound quality for the price it was selling. However the CD recording was considerably good, but I was not interested in that, as we can do better recording with SONY Soundforge studio.
TEAC used to be a better company with TAPE decks ...and spools hmmm..
But, seems like their R&D effort was implemented more in TASCAM models rather than TEAC.
