With regard to your PM,
This may not be of much help, but, here it is anyway.
For your application,I have no idea at all how you are going to implement them, wiring, and other supply issues. If you are going to mod, say,a CD player or the likes,I leave it to more competent Gurus to guide you.
Now about the teddy reg(or what ever half cooked gyaan i have obtained about them).
Well,I did collect most of the parts for the Teddy regs even the hard to find Jfets, but never got around to making them though because i have too many power supplies on my hands that i bought out of impulse but am too lazy to build them.
The reason i did get them is to cure a noisy mains supply compounded by a poor quality inverter(I depend on my PC for audio, though i have a few self made amps) and all of a sudden, the issue solved itself after the inverter was subjected to some bodging(miraculously).
So,Are you looking to buy them or will you make them yourself?
The standard through hole Teddy regs are simple enough to make yourself, all the parts can be sourced locally(I got all my stuff from SP Road,Bangalore),and with a little care, you can get high quality Tants as required,or simply order them off a E-retailer.
The main issue, however,is to obtain the 2sk117-GR(which can be replaced by easier to get 2sk170-BL),for which you are on your own,or you have to find a trustworthy retailer who will sell you original stuff.
If you cant make your own boards however, you can contact Neil James (neiljadman AT gmail DOT com) on the pinkfishmedia forums. He still has *some* teddy reg boards available for about 12$ a strip of boards. These are the smd version though. These are only bare boards-you still have to get the parts required, solder them in yourself and get it working.
and you would have seen this though, but here it is again-the Teddy Pardo page with all required information and additional links on making, debugging and implementaion-http://www.teddypardo.com/resources/teddyreg.html
