Guys...Check out LOTR EE for 49.99 USD. There can't be better price for this Set.
Amazon.com: The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy (The Fellowship of the Ring / The Two Towers / The Return of the King Extended Editions + Digital Copy) [Blu-ray]: Elijah Wood, Viggo Mortensen, Ian McKellen, Peter Jackson: Movies & TV
And its Region Locked to B.....In fact this would be about the same price/cheaper in amazon uk. It retails @ 40.00 (- VAT would be 32.00) with free shipping![]()
Is the one in Amazon region free? Guess it is just Zone A, right?
US Version is Region free...
By the way..X-Men Quadrilogy (Set of 4 Movies) for 9.99GBP.
In the description page, it says Region A. How sure are you? If you are sure, maybe I can go ahead and order![]()
I take it you are talking about LOTR EE. Never go on Amazon's description...I got this set and it is Region free. Check the below link for more confirmation.

BTW, is customs scenario for items from US same as with Amazon UK? I mean the same hit and miss stuff? LOTR blu-ray will be 59$ including the shipping charges and hence UK is still cheaper. I'm still deciding whether to order from the UK or US although I've a region free player.
In my Exp..I got charged customs for as low as 18GBP from UK packages, but never for US packages and my highest in single order is 102USD. But with customs we never know....its just my experience please don't take it as a bar.
Please note Except movie, everything else is in DVDs. So unless your player is PAL friendly, better get from AMZ US.
Thanks, yeah, it's more of luckm, even I was charged for orders as low as 20GBP and not for orders of 60GBP. Anyway, even if they charge, how much will be the charges for 50$ item i.e. LOTR extended?
I actually have the LOTR EE on DVD and what I heard is that the extra material is not different from what came with the DVD EE. And anyway I've two players which can play region free DVD's (one bought in India itself and so PAL won't be a problem but how come would that be a problem when I'll be playing it only thru HDMI?), so I'm kind of saved I guess. My only worry is that if the mod chip stops working then I'll be stranded with region locked BD's for some time![]()
