Thonet & Vander - SW10 subs need suggestion for suitable AVRs

While I am in the verge of setting up my HT. One of my friend has ordered subwoofer Thonet & Vander - SW10 1.0 - Deep Sound Wood Home Monitor Speakers going by the positive review and the price of 15.5K.
Now I am forced to do a reverse engineering
Can anyone suggest if SW10 Sub go well with Denon AVR-X500 or Yamaha RX-V377 or V477. Please advice, if this is not going to suit, then I will hve to force my friend to cancel the order.

An active subwoofer does not have much to do with AVR as the sub itself does the amplification. So any active sub should work well with any AVR. That said, this Thonet sub - i have no experience, so no opinion.

Did your friend get the subwoofer?what is his opinion about the sub.Try the cymatics video from Nigel Stanford in youtube sounds amazing on my sw10

Hi Krish, while I was so eagerly waiting for the Sub to be delivered.............. They delivered a damaged one, in the sense the front panel which holds the speakers was detached from the box. Hence I have raised a claim with eBay and they are very slow in processing the request. Awaiting their response.

Very sorry to hear that,you should try contacting them from amazon as well.The seller is overclockers club which is the same seller in EBay.

I contacted T&V about this and got a mail saying that you should contact the company about the damaged subwoofer
