Thoughts on the TCL 65C2US?

Planning to upgrade to a 65inch TV this Diwali. Budget is between 1-1.2 lakhs. TV will mostly be used to watch daily soaps, sports, and movies. Already have an Airtel Internet TV box and an Android media player so not interested in the smart features of the TV. All i want to know is whether the TV has good picture quality etc.

Couldn't find much information anywhere about it so thought i'd post here to see what HFV thinks about it.

The other option i was considering was the VU super premium TV but the refresh rate is only 50hz on that model which is making me apprehensive about how it may perform for fast moving objects in sports, movies etc.

But won't the 30-40% customs make it almost similarly priced to the Indian model?

Thats true but the US models seem to be much better

By seeing the specs, I think the C2 is same as the us p series in terms of panel. But the p2 uses the cheaper s series us panel i guess

No i don't think the c2 series uses the same panel because it is edge lit while the US version is dled and it has local dimming.(i think you should look at the 2016 VU premium hdr tv(it has local dimming) don't go for the newer version because it has a slower refresh rate)
