Unlock issues with video 2 for Sony HT-DDW1600

Sorry guys this cvould have been dealt with before. I have a sony ht-ddw1600 and i would like to connect an exbox 360 using hdmi cables. I have connected the xbox by an hdmi to the receiver hdmi in and connected the samsung tv by an hdmi out from the receiver. I have used an optical cable from xbox to the receiver video 2. The problem is I do not seem to get sound from the reciver. I have picture and sound from the TV. The reiver on the front panel gives a message "unlock". How do I unlock?

How come you connected the optical cable of xbox to the receiver's video 2 input. You need to connect to the optical in of the receiver. Also when you use hdmi connections between xbox and receiver to the tv then the sound has to come from the receiver and not the tv. I am not sure about your sony receiver model, how it works. But normally any receiver will process the sound and uses its own speakers and unless you specifically put the receiver in standby mode and allow passthru mode (if present) on the receiver the sound does not come thru tv but from receiver only.
