Dear experts,

Car make/model - Honda City VX CVT 2017.
Comes with great quality HU and 8 speakers. Still does not satisfy the need of feeling deep bass in a slower volume. I want to fit a bass tube with the existing sound setup without altering any oem provided hardware. Is it possible? Do I also need an amplifier with the tube ? Please advise me...

Thanks

I have the 2016 VX MT version and so far I have not felt the need to change the speakers as they perform exceedingly well including the bass. I would say the speakers are actually more towards bright and bass rather than smooth sounding. If you feel the bass is lacking then I would suggest you to get a good sub and pair with external amp, it should improve the bass.

With OE setup adding a dedicated sub with a monoblock amp would be a an issue as the overall spl of the OE system is much lower to blend with a dedicated sub which will be in the boot.
It would better to go with a low profile active sub which can fixed under the seat.
These kind of subs are much easier to work with when trying to match to an OE setup.

Do these slim active bass modules fit under the seats especially with Honda city VX with adjustable driver seat. I am not sure if they fit underneath the passenger seat as well. There is very little room and I can only fit a amplifier.

Well I cant talk about a particular car, but this is the better route with OE setups that are driven by head units instead of amps

You cannot add a sub with the oem head unit. You at best change the speakers with pioneer or jbl. Which given better bass and clarity. I HV done the same with my city
