UPS for LED tv

I have a 40 ex 520 sony LED tv and in my apt there are frequent power outages, the generator backup in my apt takes almost 2 mins to come up, because of which my tv gets turned on and off frequently. I have connected it to a stabilizer to protect from surges. I had recently connected my computer UPS for my TV so that it does not have to turn off and on during power cuts and will have backup of few mins, which is enough for my power backup to come up. This UPS produces modified sinewave and it is 600VA(Line Interactive UPS). Just wanted to know from experts if it is a problem using this for my TV ?

There is no problem in using a ups with your TV. TVs use SMPS technology just like your desktop. I am also using a 1.2KV line interactive ups to power my tv, stb, blu-ray player etc.
