Urgent : Front Firing vs Downward Firing Subwoofer

hi,

I am confused in front firing vs downward firing sub woofer for my home theatre set up .
I have 220 Sq ft dedicated room ( 22 length * 10 breadth ). Flooring is concrerte of tiles.

I am considering Subwoofer of Polk audio.

It ain't matter weather a sub is firing front or side or down, so go for the sub that is tight, can go deep and loud.

Depends on your taste in down firing the bass is not directional placement is not a issue but in front firing you have to find the best place for its placement most likely facing you.

My HT room is of nearly the same dimensions and have been testing out a pair of Polk PSW 110's for the past few days. They are front firing and positional change definitely has an impact. The front one is placed a little bit off center while the other is placed at the back of the room in the exact center.
