Hi
I am moving to an apartment which has a NTSC TV installed. This is a Sony Bravia KDL-52XBR4 purchased from the US. At present, there is a Tata Sky box attached to it through a Bose box, which converts from PAL to NTSC but obviously does not do HD.

The previous owner told me that they were unable to get the Tata Sky HD going with this TV because it was incompatible. On doing a google search, I found that some people have used a Videocon DTH HD box by changing the settings to 60Hz. This setting is not there on the Tata Sky box.

The complex only has Hathway, Tata Sky or Reliance. Any suggestions? Does the Reliance HD box have a facility to change the Frequency?

Thanks

AFAIK, You can use all the service providers as long as you are using HDMI cable.
With HDMI cable, you don't need to worry whether it is NTSC or PAL.

A recent firmware update on my Tata Sky HD box has given an option for 1080i/60hz output. However this is not yet available on my Tata sky HD+ box. So if you have the plain HD STB you should have no problem. In case your firmware has not been updated, you can do so manually. There is a thread about this on the forum.
