Vidaa OS Query.

Hello Everyone,

I was thinking of getting a Hisense TV. But since it has the Vidaa OS, which I am not fully aware of how good or bad it is. I just needed some basic information about it.

First things first... does it have all the apps that are needed (I am sure Netflix, Prime and YouTube will be there). But what about:

1. Discovery+
2. Zee5
3. Sony Liv
4. Voot
5. Fancode
6. VLC or something similar.

Get a FireStick. Fancode is not available in WebOS too.

If you like the tv itself , you can go ahead and buy it , it doesn't take too much to add an Android box if you don't enjoy the loaded os. I have a tv with the Tizen OS, but have most used Android boxes

Mi Box 4K comes to mind, a search will throw up other names. ISPs also provide such devices bundled with their plans, you may want to check that as well

I recently purchased a Hisense TV for my In-Laws. It comes with Android TV.

Vidaa OS must be the name they have given their implementation of Andriod TV.

Dont worry - its more or less a standard Andriod TV OS.

No it’s not. Some models of Hisense come with android TV and others with VIDAA.

VIDAA is absolute garbage OS with outdated apps and no updates. My U7980 has it, and I just ignore it and use firestick

I bought the Hisense U6G for my in laws.

I recently experienced Tizen in a hotel room TV.. it's not that cool either. Or maybe I am just way to familiar with Android.

I am moving to Hyderabad soon. So I have to get a new TV. So I was looking for a large screen FALD TV. The Hisense caught my eye. But VIDAA is put off for me.

Probably the Glo Masterpiece from Vu. But that gold panel ..... Yuck!

The TCLs spec wise are good, but hard to find their local dimming spec.

The cheaper the better! Coz I am definitely not settling there.
