Hi guys, I recently installed the videocon d2h service and while I get sound on most channels (I subscribed primarily for the HD channels) there are some channels with digital sound that just don't work. When I switch to stereo I start getting the audio channels but not when I switch to digital!
My STB is connected via HDMI to a Denon 3313 receiver and I know my receiver works fine because I also have my PS3, Oppo Blu-Ray player and Popcorn Hour media player all connected to the same receiver. I would assume that digital sound should work flawlessly through HDMI but I only get sound when I select 'stereo'. Do I need to connect coaxial wire for digital sound? Wouldn't that defeat the whole purpose of HDMI cable?
Is it possible I got a bad STB? Oh and once I select 'stereo' for a particular channel and I surf back to the channel, I have to go through the sound option again to select 'stereo' again. Its like the box doesn't remember the settings.
And yes my STB setup has been selected to "Home Theatre" or whatever the setting is under Box Settings.
