Greetings everyone! I’m new here! Thanks for answering in advance. I bought a pair of Jamo Power 120T speakers recently (90W rated, 96dB 1W/1M). They sound great. So I started looking for a nice amp to pair them with. I was thinking about Marantz SR 7500 (7.1 with 105W/pc, because I thought I would eventually buy a 7.1 or at least 5.1 system), but, as I listened to stereo longer, I started to like it. Very much. So I digged through vintage amps and found Marantz 2238B (42W/pc into 8 ohms). I would be using the amp for gaming as well as listening to music (gaming on PS4). My question is:
Is this vintage beauty going to be able to handle all the dynamic frequencies games include generally? Is it strong enough, or should I go for a newer one?
