Dear FM members,

I am looking for a new voltage stabilizer for my AV Receiver, BluRay Player, Powered Subwoofer, and TV with in a budget of Rs 5,000/-

I have the following questions and looking for your suggestion.

  • Which is the best voltage stabilizer that I should go for (meant for HT)?
  • During the power cut, will it work with the 1kVA UPS? (My home UPS is 1kA)
  • Can I connect a surge protector to the stabilizer and have all the connections setup in the surge protector?
  • With your experience, which are the brands that carry warranty and support in case of any issues?

Please share your thoughts. As of now, my setup is connected directly to the power supply that I really want to avoid going forward. In my home town, I don't have a frequent power cut and voltage fluctuation but I really would like to secure my devices.

FYI - I am not looking for a UPS

Any of the commonly found v-gaurds are good enough as long as you don't overload them. Add one for your TV. And one for your av amp. And you are good to go. You should be able to get 2 of then within 5k. Cheers

I have a Vertix stabilser lying unused for over 6 years... let me know if you would like to buy it.
