Why dont you go for a good online UPS? longterm investment.

I had purchased a 1.5 KV UPS when I got my Marantz. I was wondering if its too high for my needs, but I thought I will keep it in case I need it tomorrow. I now am seeing its benefits. I have connected Panasonic plasma (Average 250W), Marantz (Average 300W- 500W), & PC (Average 150W). More Importantly, Peak Load is Panasonic plasma (400W), Marantz (1KV), & PC (150W for now. With a graphics card will shoot up).

Considering that I would not drive the Marantz at very high volumes, this would give me at least 300W buffer in the peak load.

We are planning to get a inverter for our room , but since it cost around 25-35K , we are currently putting that idea aside.

any price on the stabilizer / Online UPS or Inverter for my needs would be very helpful

Instead of inverter use only online UPS. Look for models from APC, Microtek etc. I was quoted 12K for a 1KVA transformerless o/l UPS from a local brand, battery cost extra. Total will be around 20K. For 2KVA isolation transformer UPSthe price quoted was 25K without battery.

1.5 Kva is must for your existing setup.

Yes. 9900 including tax & warranty - with bill. Got it from a dealer in north Bangalore.
Model is APC BR 1500-IN. No issues since using this. There were times when My marantz played close to 2 hours straight with no power at moderate volume. Didnt check how long it lasts. If charged it lasts long. If disconnected it discharges automatically.
You can connec 4 devices. It has 'timed auto shutdown' controlled through PC on even of power failure.

also...1.5 KVA will draw 6.5 amps at peak load. You will need the 15 amp line not the normal 5 amp socket. This is safer. I am currently using 5 amps will soon switch to 15 amps, need to wire it to my room. Fortunately not much work needed.

Back-UPS is line interactive (not online) ups with stepped sine wave output.

I think this comes with an internal battery. External battery cannot be attached :-(
