VT50 will be available in india after a month and will come only in 65" price 2.5L +. BTW it is been crowned the best display ever second only to Pio elite infact it beats the elite in many ways except black level

its not just great it is the greatest all the HDTV gurus from around the world participate in it and compare the top displays side by side here is the brief on winners

Then I will wait and splurge are all moolah next month will buy either the 65st50 ot 65vt50. though the latter is better the former is a better value for money and beats last years vt30s.

I did see the video of the shoot out...........truly impressive. Was curious to watch how the VT50 fared against the Sharp pro elite......that was a tough battle since the Elite now is getting a lot of attention and being called the next to displace the KURO. But I can't contain my excitement enough when I saw VT50 on top as the KING of all tv's. Long live Plasma!!!

I hope Plasma's will now command all the respect it truly deserves. This will surely wreak havoc in the LCD/LED camp hahaha!!! :)

you also have the option of GT50 which I understand has already been launched in India. It's very similar to VT50 and only differs in a few areas.
 
My samsung series 6 46 inch led backlit lcd b6000 is having some problem but it is still watchable. faint parallel lines and if it is a panel problem it is not worth replacing.

Will hold my horses for a month and buy the panasonic 65 inch 60ST50 or 50 inch VT50 though the former will be a bigger size upgrade.
 
ST50, GT50 & VT50 all share the same neo panel it is just that VT50 has better filter (infact the best ever in plasma) slightly better blacks and few more pic. settings. I believe it will be tough to point out major difference among three (non-calibrated, in the dark room)

Buy the 65" ST50 because i think ST50 has better brightness than VT50, while VT50 has slightly better blacks at the expense of brightness.

You already have a 46" LCD so 50" wont be much bigger, 65" is the way to go.
 
65" or 60" plus inches is the way to go, for me at least. I would buy a 60" plus plasma from either Samsung or Panasonic. I will choose one from their top three models.
