Want to buy amplier for my home?

Want to buy an amplifier? My requirements are:
1. Basic model with enough ports for connecting media player, dvd player or blue ray, home theatre, game console (if possible) and dish tv or cable.
2. decently priced.
3. sleeker model with depth upto 300 mm max.

1.What is your interest? Music or Movies?
2.What is the size of the room in which you have planned for setup
3.Do you already have speakers? then what about the Model.
