Wharfedale Vs Dali

Dali zensor 7 all the way, no contest there. Diamond missed quite a few subtle and small sounds during my demo with the same amp, subwoofer setup for both of them
 
Dali Zensor 5 and Zensor 7 for much better sound quality and tight punch. auditioned them with NAD 356 and Yamaha A-S500. Yamaha is more suited for Z5, lacks power for Z7. Prices on July ex Chennai - Z5 - 42000 and Z7 - 60000.

Even with metal and rock music never felt the need for a sub-woofer straightaway.

They are 6 ohms with single pair binding post and front ported.

Please take a look at Polk Audio RTi A7 which are priced around the Z7 and are damn good speakers. Let your ears decide.
 
I think the Lektor is a higher range than Zensor, so should be better
But Lektor 2 is a bookshelf. You would need a Lektor 6 for comparison to Zensor 5/6

Yes Sir, Dali is Dali. Apart from the SQ, even something seriously classy about its piano finish and the matte maroon color drivers. Not to mention that major danish speaker manufacturers do not believe in bi-wiring / bi-amping itself goes to show how much they back their own product.

Seriously striving hard to save up some money to get the Dali 5 as Speaker B (D7 preferred but running short of space and heavy wife factor involved).;)
 
"Heavy wife factor".. Hahaha... That made me laugh hard.

Had a hard time explaining my wife why was I laughing. [emoji14]
 
The best thing that I like about Dali - it's so easy to place them. I have Dali lector 2 and Dali LCR as center speaker. As they are front ported, they can be placed very close to the wall.

Don't sweat the z5 vs Z7 too much, the Z5 is, in fact, quiet nice.

It will, (as with most (any ?) other speaker) require some care in positioning and attention to room effects before it can shine.

Oh, and the correct technical term would be WAF ;)

I think comparing Dali vs Wharfedale are like comparing apples and oranges. Each has its own advantages. But at the budget range of BS speakers, Wharfedale 220 are a good buy. A bit more cash and then one could splurge on a Dali.
 
You can try Focal chorus 706 and KEF Q 300. Both are excellent BS Speaker and my opinion both speaker is far better than Dali and Walfdale too.
