What happened to my account?

A couple of days ago I got a message that my account has been banned and all my posts deleted on account that I was a spammer. Some screen came up asking me to write to the mods, but there was no link or way to actually write to mods.

Though the good offices of a friend they said they have unbanned my account, but many many years of posts are lost.

I was told that they deleted the account by error. Don't really know because nobody told me anything concrete.

I'd like my account back with all my posts.

Happened to me as well, The username/avatar which I used for good almost 8-9yrs , all of sudden it seemed to be spammer or some cheap AI generated seller/bad account(I was told so) to the system, resulting in deletion of account, all my posts too.
I did not realise as I was travelling those days. Only came to know a week after.
Good soul like Mash initiated the conversion with mods to restore the account but in vain.

Since profile contains email address, just before deleting the account, system needs to trigger a confirmation mail to FM with some kind of OTP , if not done within lets say 7 days, system will delete account.

@Nikhil after login there was a pop-up advising 2step verification and directed me to password change but i did not see any option to enable the 2 step verification in account details. Can you pls walk us through step by step. I have just downloaded the google authenticator app from playstore. Thanks rgds Sean
