Hi Guys
can someone guide me as to where i can get speaker stands for MK S150. i'm looking for top plate dimensions: 10.5" X 12.5", stand height around 75-85cms.

Venkat, first of all, congratulations! You have one of the best home theater speakers there is.

If you want the best out of these speakers, don't skimp on stands for them. MK Sound makes their stands as well. Import them. Your speakers will thank you from the bottom of their heart.

I have a complete setup of MK SS 150, and I have all stands originally imported from MK Sound USA. They cost me a pretty penny, but for a good reason.

hi ranjeetrain
yes i have finally found HT nirvana with MK, after lots of trials and errors.when i finally heard them i could not believe such tiny looking speakers can give such details and clarity that some of the floorstanders didnot.
Thanks for your suggestion.can you please tell me about the model no. i'm unable to find any info in their website, so please provide if you have any link for the stands.
what is the height at which you have kept your speakers?

Regards!

I don't remember off hand. Probably model no is called MK S150 LCR750 for the fronts. For the rears it is MK S150. Stand model names are matched to speakers they are meant for.

Btw, the place where you bough them, they didn't have stands? Where did you buy them? And how were those set up?

Oh, the height?

Fronts are 36 inch, center is 24 inch, rears 6 feet high. Center is mountable in such a way that the speaker position can be adjusted to match the required height.

The dealer here says they have no stands, even in MK website i can't find any info.looks like they have discontinued making them:mad:
At present i've kept them in an ordinary 24" stand as a stop gap arrangement. the surrounds i have wall mounted them.

Regards!

MK Sound has gone a lot of changes recently, including ownership changes. Their website has very little information. However, I have posted a picture here: MK Sound Stands | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Also, MK Sound makes wall mounts as well. Here is a picture:

Good decision wall mounting the rears. I would have done the same, except, here I am living on rent, not my own house, so couldn't have destroyed the wall. When I move to India I'd do the same, however, you lose the flexibility with wall mounts.

i'm green with envy looking at your stands. will keep looking for used ones and will also look for the wall mounts. I have mailed sound foundations with my requirements, no reply as yet. lets see what i finally end up with. Thanks a lot for your help.:clapping:
