Where do I find the best deal on a 3 user license for Kaspersky

Hi George,

SP Road is the cheapest place. Last year I picked IS for 600. But going there just for that may not be worth it. Flipkart has AV for 556 and IS for 869.

why george, why do you want to pay for it. there are tons of good free av programs available on the net:)

One more vote for Avast. Make sure you have atleast 2 anti-spyware software though. I typically go for AdAware and Spybot. The Norton 2010 & 2012 are the best commercial products I've used...

Our own home grown QuickHeal has an advantage with telephonic, on-line (and on-site if required) support offered additionally.

u should consider upgrading to McAfee VirusScan Enterprise + AntiSpyWare Enterprise v8.8 (Scan Engine 5400.1158), unless there is a reason u want to continue with v8.7i. the built in AntiSpyware you refer to in v8.7i is not complete/comprehensive.

MCAFEE , I hate it to the core. It blocks everything and takes up so much system resource. Wait , it could be my office network security in MCAFEE.;) But I still hate it.

My vote is for Avast. According to online reviews, it has one of the best detection rates regardless of the price.

McAfee used to be good couple of years back but last month it couldn't even detect USB autorun virus on my laptop. Not to mention what a bloat it has become over the years.

in order to do a lot of things, an antimalware solutions needs to have relevant modules (antivirus, antispyware, antiadware, desktop firewall, desktop intrusion prevention, device controller, application controller, tamper proofing, etc.). a product doing things in half-measure may come across as light.

also, the USB autorun issue depends on the way the solution is configured. in order to reduce resource utilisation, configuration is set to check only when accessed, which could lead to the reported situation.

having said the a/m, any antimalware solution is as good as its last update, the various proactive, preventive & heuristic mechanisms, etc., for detecting new and/or unknown malware being in place notwithstanding.

one needs to look at relevant comparos/reviews. the OP's requirement is for a 3 user solution, possibly for home PCs. the McAfee, etc., being discussed in part above are corporate editions, very different in objective, packaging, etc., vis-a-vis home PC products. also, most reviews are paid exercises, possibly biased, so free (or VFM) solutions rarely figure.

George,

Pls buy kaspersky from anywhere but not from ebay. My only bitter experience from ebay was when i ordered a 3 user license for 600 rupees. Once i paid, the seller shared a key and a link to download from net. The product was advertised for 1 year. When i tried to use, the key was for 6 months. The seller didnt attend to my mails and calls. I gave a very bad feedback and raised a complaint for refund with ebay. one person from ebay setup a conf call with seller and he accepted to send a new key. Ebay closed my complaint. Seller never send across any key after that. Got busy in b/w and forgot to follow up. Later left it like that. Never after that i ordered anything from ebay.

Kaspersky 3 user license and ebay combo still give jitters to me :)

Regards,
Antony
