Which BD player to get from US to use in India

Hi All,
Want to get a BD player through my parents who wil be returning after a short trip to my brother .
Can someone suggest which BD player should i have them bring them to be used in India.. Initial lot of BD discs will be from US ( which they will buy )..but need to future proof for Indian BDs.

So not too many bells & whistles needed and not too expensive ( below 150 $ )..just want a quality BD player to play here in India.. Please suggest.

All Region players are expensive even in the US. It may be better to buy Sony BDP S-370 player in India @ ~Rs 9900/- , but cannot play all regions

Sony was THE company to research and perfect Blu-Ray Technology, along with other companies.

And to answer the OP's question, Oppo blu-ray players have got great reviews. They can be modded to be region-free. Don't have much info on the modding aspect, but for DVD upscaling and blu-ray playback, Oppo's blu-ray players are always there on any list mentioning the top blu-ray players.

Oppo's website for the BDP-83 mentions that it is out of production. See if you can get a piece from a retailer still having it in stock.

Oppo will soon be releasing the BDP-93 player with support for 3D playback.
