Hi FM's and Gurus :)

I want to purchase 8-10 pcs. of ceiling speakers to be installed in various passages of my house. Here are a few options that I have received so far:

- A couple of years ago, Bose quoted me 60k for 1 pair which wasn't acceptable to me as it would be sheer waste of money.

- BOSCH 0606 @ 950 each plus taxes.

- For hi end : B&W 616 @ 16k plus VAT for a pair. ( I can consider 2 pairs, one each for my dressing room area and other one for my washroom area, but not for the whole house).

Keep in mind these prices are not inclusive of any discounts or taxes so that will be done once I finalise a particular model. I want good brand recognition as well as great sound for the money I'll be spending.

My query is that in this digital age, I don't want a player to be hooked to all of these speakers and one has to personally go there (ground floor in my case as I live on the 1st floor) and change a track or increase/decrease the volume. I want AIRPLAY to work because all of my folks have iOS devices. Can anybody suggest a solution to this problem? I have done some research on the web and they say that the simplest way to do so is to use AIRPORT EXPRESS with a pair of speakers (which I don't exactly know how). But I think it would be good for just 2 ceiling speakers and not all of them at the same time. Also, for the normal ceiling speakers, the budget is kind of flexible which means I am willing to spend 2k-4k a pair maximum but it should definitely be worth it. I want this solution to run seamlessly in my house and it should be really simple for any family member to play a track using their iPhone/iPad. For my dressing room and washroom areas, I would like to make some use of the Denon AVR 4520's ZONE feature. All in all, I want this solution to cost me less then 50k. But as I said before, I can spend till 1 lac if it's worth it.

Looking forward to hearing from you guys,
Much appreciated.

Dear Yahoo0212 & Magma, I will check these models and will get back here shortly.

In the meantime, please keep your suggestions coming right in. Cheers :)

Cambridge Audio SS10 or SS20 for about 8000 a pair are an excellent piece of in-ceiling speakers..

Go Indian
Buy dnm

They actually specialize in ceiling mount speakers

I would recommend them

Still waiting for my HT dealer to quote me a few options, gosh this really is testing my patience now.

Btw, does anybody have any idea of how to go ahead with implementing the airplay with the ceiling speakers? Much appreciated.
