I have a LG LED TV which has this specs for connectivity
CONNECTIVITY (SIDE)
USB 2.0 - Yes (1)
CONNECTIVITY (REAR)
AV In - Yes(1-Common)
RF In - Yes (1)
Component in (Y,Pb,Pr) + Audio - Yes(1(Composit Common))
HDMI/HDCP In - Yes(1)

So since there is no audio out will sound bar will work anyway ??
I have a SD STB and a DVD player.

That seems odd.
not even an headphone out !
can you be specific on the model no,seems like you have missed all the details.

best is use your audio device a asound bar or avr or amp.....from your source like stb or player.as ethen hunt already suggested...

model number is ls3400..
My SD STB has not ports left unused.. (it has only minimum reqd nothing extra to connect a single TV)
I have a onida dvd player.. how to connect it from there ..?

I and not good in tech.. These are the ports which are there in my Onida DVD
White color SR, SL , FL port
Red color Sub-woofer, SR , FR , (CR/PR) port
Yellow color Video Port
Black Color Co-axialt port
nd a different type S-video port

So what to connect where.. Any chance of connecting my 3.5mm jack speakers ??

In the above ports use FR and FL. These stands for Front Right and Front Left. Get a sound bar with these type of inputs. Even if the inputs are of 3.5mm jack, you can buy a 3.5 mm to 2RCA adapter to make the connection. If you buy a soundbar with digital coaxial input then you can use the Black Color Co-axialt port of dvdp. But I think most soundbars use only optical digital input.

Which speakers are the best
2.1 or 4.1 or 5.1 ?
for a small room of 14x14

Are you looking for a full surround sytem? If then 5.1 speaker system with an avr. For casual TV watch, a 2.1 soundbar is enough. I found it cumbersome to use avr with tv and there is no wow effect. For many channels like news channels surround sound is not needed at all.

imp is budget..how much do you want to spend.
for low budget a 2.1 pc speakerer will do.
or to build quality system...invest on a entry level avr 25k and 2 bookshelfs..12k
a 2 channel int amp and 2 bbokshelves will also do(in fact better than an entry level avr)...but the RCA sound signals fron stb are not that good....but via hdmi/optical the sound is good in hd channels from stb companies...
so A avr will be good for your case..also future proof if you buy bly ray palyer later

Yeah I am in low budget .. mostly would be buying either iball or creative 2.1 channel speakers

Suppose I buy a sound bar which has USB connectivity and want to play a movie via pendrive .. Then I need 2 USB ports in my TV. But unfortunately I have only 1. So will USB splitter or some thing like that of will work ??
